The founders and board of Directors of Undaunted Futures combine a breadth of experience spanning corporate strategy, education industry, impact investing, product development, global policy, technology, and non-profit experience. In terms of the education industry, the team combines more than 100 years of previous or current work with The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, K12 Inc/Stride Learning, ACT, Laureate Education, Future of Learning, Education Affiliates, Docent Learning, and Gersh Autism.
David Cumberbatch
Regional Managing Director North America, Project Management Institute
David is a veteran Education/Technology executive with extensive experience in new product innovation and new market entry. He has led organic and inorganic growth strategies with multiple companies at various stages, from startups to Fortune 100 companies.
Jakki Mathis-Hull, Esq.
General Counsel, Edmentum
Jakki is an attorney who has served in the EdTech industry for over 15 years. She currently serves as General Counsel for Edmentum. As a life-long learner who contributes part of her successful career to her mentors, she is committed to giving back through mentorship, notably to underserved youth of color.
Alan Hall
PMP Education
Alan has spent more than twenty years working with education organizations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. His work focuses primarily on business operations. A Project Management Professional (PMP®), Alan has also served as an Associate Vice President of Academic Partnerships for the Washington, DC chapter of the Project Management Institute.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council at Undaunted Futures plays a critical role in advising, planning, and delivering upon our purpose and promise. Upon learning about the mission of Undaunted Futures, each of these individuals raised their proverbial hand and asked, “How can I support your efforts?”
Along with the Board, the Advisory Council members bring diverse professional skills that add an important dimension to our work. From legal to finance, project management to operations, their professional backgrounds span the gamut of expertise needed to effectively, and efficiently, run a nonprofit organization. We are a highly committed group of people who are laser-focused on the overall success of building, growing, and sharing the mentorship program at Undaunted Futures.
Flynn Bucy, PhD
Managing Director, Prescient360 Group
Dr. Bucy is a senior consultant in the areas of entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. He has a unique combination of academic, business, and nonprofit experience to integrate research and practice into pragmatic strategies for innovation and change management.
Dave Blaiklock, PhD
Research Professional | Education Advocate
Dave has over 20 years of experience in K-12 education and has served as a research consultant to over 100 school districts. His work has had influence on state and national policy. Dave has a Ph.D. in education policy from George Mason University.
Steve Parker
Co-founder, Harraseeket Foundation
Steve has mentored youth since he was a teenager, and he continued to mentor young people throughout a 32-year career practicing law. After retiring, he co-founded The Harraseeket Foundation (pronounced “hair-a-SEEK-it”), a Virginia nonprofit that supports community organizations that help young people imagine their future.

Cathy has spent more than 20 years in diverse roles across education and workforce development in corporate, academic, and non-profit environments. Passionate about connecting education, opportunity, and outcomes, she is deeply committed to mentorship as a critical lever for impact.
Lisa Korhnak

Lisa is an integrated marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience. She helps businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. Lisa has directed successful marketing, media, and capital campaigns, earning multiple industry awards for her work.
Ron Boggio
Former Catholic Priest, Retired Clinical and Forensic Psychologist
Ron has been a mentor and volunteer in the Fairfax Public School System, originally working with 5th graders and now with high-school students. He has also been active in peer support efforts at Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington , DC, and teaches an ongoing series at his Episcopal church on the integration of psychology and spirituality.
